Founder of CAM Software · Embedded product engineering leader

Northwest Arkansas · Working with teams nationwide

About

Chris Martinez founded CAM Software in 2022. He now leads the company's flagship 90-day Embedded Product Engineering Leadership engagement for established companies whose mobile-led products, teams, or release systems cannot keep drifting. The work connects business intent to product decisions, hands-on engineering, QA, release infrastructure, observability, documentation, and responsible AI delivery.

Chris also operates CAM Software products. The Resume App and On Cue Music Player are currently live, and AI Calendar Buddy is in beta. Owning the roadmap, code, distribution, support, maintenance, AI costs, and cash decisions keeps client guidance grounded in the full consequence of product ownership.

Credentials

  • Healthcare software delivery experience across ABA therapy apps, e-prescribing systems, and EHR engagements. This informs how Chris handles sensitive data, access, release risk, and BAA conversations without making a blanket HIPAA-compliance claim.
  • Founder-operator since 2022. Chris personally leads the initial engagement and remains accountable for connecting product intent, technical direction, delivery practices, and client-side ownership.
  • AI-fluent engineering leadership. Chris designs human-controlled workflows for planning, plan review, implementation, self-review, pull-request documentation, and independent review. He treats team learning, data rules, security, and cost as part of AI adoption—not as obstacles to ignore.
  • US-based, founder-operated. Headquartered in Northwest Arkansas; remote-default delivery for teams nationwide.
  • Implementation-led service model. The initial 90 days move through Understand & Align, Implement & Improve, and Stabilize & Transfer. A bounded Technical Audit remains available when the question is truly narrower, but it is not the mandatory front door.

Stack expertise

CAM Software's stack priority is locked, in this order:

  • React Native (priority one). The default for mobile builds and migrations. Largest cross-platform hiring pool, broadest library ecosystem, fastest path to shipped product on iOS and Android.
  • Swift and SwiftUI (priority two). When the app needs native iOS depth, ARKit, CoreML on-device inference, complex SwiftUI animations, or Apple Watch companion features that React Native handles poorly.
  • Kotlin and Jetpack Compose (priority three). When the app is Android-first or the team has Kotlin expertise, or when Galaxy Watch / Wear OS depth is required.

Backend and delivery contexts include Node.js, .NET, Next.js API routes, Supabase, Firebase, Azure, AWS, CI/CD, TestFlight, Google Play, PostHog, and Crashlytics. Mobile remains the center of gravity, while the supporting web, API, data, authentication, and infrastructure systems are included when they affect the product outcome.

Prior professional decision evidence

These permanently anonymized, qualitative examples come from Chris's prior professional experience. They are not presented as CAM Software client engagements.

  • A materially faster first usable screen for an offline-first healthcare tablet product after unnecessary retrieval, redundant state changes, and repeated rendering were traced and corrected.
  • Xamarin to React Native behavior recovery for an e-prescribing application whose old product was effectively the only documentation, revealing why QA readiness and product ownership must be established before release pressure peaks.
  • A controlled internal EHR beta that gave product and QA room to learn before wider external use. Each outcome belongs to its specific context and is not a promise of future results.
